heyyyy : )

i have an australian central bearded dragon, it's only 4 months old! and just in the past few days there has been a bit of orange around his ears [like the colour of rust kind of] .. not sure if it's normal or if there's something seriously wrong? [he hasn't been acting differently and he's eating fine, even though it's winter]

:S if i should take it to the vet, does anyone know any reptile vets in victoria, australia? lol

there is an aquarium up the road from my house but i didn't buy my lizard there, bought him from a private breeder.

any help much appreciated : )

  1. That's normal. He's fine. All beardies change in color as they grow older. He will most likely get even more color on  him so don't be alarmed. Beardies are a very strong lizard. Just make sure you have a good bedding, he has ubv lighting, the right food and some vitamins and he should be good to go.

BUT, it's always a good idea to locate a reptile vet in your area just incase something should ever happen. Better safe then sorry. Good luck with your new beardie!!!

  2. ye if there orange on it that means if it was to breed you would get a lot of money for Babbie beardies because they would be orange also and that's considered rare so count your self lucky

  3. yes normal he will end up with more colouring

  4. all of that is normal he Will get more and more colors the older he or she gets
