  1. Remove the cover plates to expose the cooler coils.  The drain pan line will be the plastic tubing which is connected to the collection pan.

If your line is clogged the pan will be full of water.  I assume if the water has been sitting there awhile and the line is clogged, it is caused by a rusted pan.

If that is the case, your unit is nearing the end of it's life.

To unclog the tube, disconnect the hose at both ends.  Make sure you have a large container to catch the pan water once the tube is disconnected.

Clean the drain pan using a wet/dry vac.

Clean the tube by using water or air.  Blowing on the end of the tube usually works best. Then fully clean out the tube using a hose.

Reconnect the hose at both ends and replace the cover plate.

Again, if the drain pan is rusty.  The hose will eventually clog again.   Start saving for the cash to replace the unit.

  2. It in the drip pan under the evaporator coil inside.

  3. your best bet would be to call a qualified technician to unclog it for you.  Central heat and air units need to be checked out before you turn on the a/c and before you turn on the heat for each season.

  4. its under the fan coil unit, this is the unit that has the actual fan in it
