Centre Fielder Curtis Granderson confident of New York Yankees pitching despite lack of starters - MLB

New York Yankees’ veteran centre fielder, Curtis Granderson, announced that he is not only comfortable at his teams’ pitching rotation, but is also confident that they will go into the 2012 Major League Baseball (MLB) regular season more ready than ever
on November 29, 2011.
Having won their division title last season, Granderson is hopeful that the Yankees will make it even deeper in the series next time around.
“We won the division,’’ Granderson said. “For the most part the team is ready to go. If we keep it healthy, we are ready to go.’’
Granderson was speaking with reporters at a refurbished playground of Woodlawn’s P.S. 19 in The Bronx, a place he helped to raise from the ground by participating in a waffle ball home run derby which managed to receive another $1,500 in donations.
The 30-year-old also made headlines recently after expressing his satisfaction in the MLB’s new blood-testing policy which was also announced with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) earlier this month.
Supporting the new step which also includes surprise blood-testing of players throughout the regular season which will kick off with the 2012 season, Granderson is also optimistic of it being a starting step in changing around the image of the support that
has been tainted by the rumours of widespread steroid use for some time now.
“You never hear it talked about in football, where most guys are massively bigger than us, or in basketball,” Granderson said about other sports that receive little or no criticism due to steroid use. “It’s amazing of the three major sports, we’re the ones
that are consistently talked about when it comes to that stuff, so hopefully we can get rid of that conversation.”
Being a player who has begun to show true potential last season, Curtis Granderson, is a very valuable part of the New York Yankees organisation and roster. Seeing him play even better next season will certainly not be surprising as the Yankees have much
bigger goals to achieve next time around of which Granderson is an integral part of.
With the New York Yankees set to begin the season already with other teams scrambling to rebuild their team, it will certainly be exciting to see who comes on top when the time comes.
