Centre fielder Angel Pagan could return to San Francisco Giants – MLB Update
Sources are speculating in the media that San Francisco Giants are dealing with Angel Pagan’s re-signing issue carefully.
His status is still unsure that whether Giants will bring him back for the next Major League Baseball season or not. He, as a free agent, is already garnering many teams attention.
“I think it's just the nature of doing business these days, Both parties want the best deal for each side. You flush out the possibilities, come to a head and try to get something done. We're not at that point yet. At this time, it's a short list, It's more backburner stuff. We do have some ideas where we could turn. We've kept those people informed," general manager Brian Sabean.
Last season, with the Giants, he played wonderfully and showed his great temperament throughout the season. He proved his class and finished with good numbers.
Pagan achieved .288 hitting average along with eight homers, 56 RBIs and .338 OBP.
Pagan, who is a six year Major League Baseball veteran, knows his worth and is also looking positive for a lucrative deal with the Giants.
However, his agent has not denied any potential team’s offer and still optimistic that his client will consider other options as well.
Giants last season played wonderfully and enormous improvement in every area of play. Their entire roster played together and never gave any chance to opponents to play them easy.
With a consistent performance all season long, the Giants qualified to the post-season. Continuing their great run in the post-season, the Giants achieved appreciation from all over the league for their tremendous plays.
With a final push at the last stages of the post-season, the Giants eventually went into the World Series against the Detroit Tigers and won it with style.
Meanwhile, as soon as they won the World Series battle, their management started to look options for retaining their some of the potential players who also contributed well in their ultimate win.
Pagan’s re-signing with the Giants is the same promised plan of their front office which was initiated to re-sign some of the experienced players played wonderfully in the 2012 Major League Baseball season.
