I am having a winter wedding and I want something really, really simple for my centrepieces. I was thinking a bunch of pine cones maybe with that fake snow in a tall cylinder vase. Does anyone have pictures to something similar? Or any other easy simple ideas?

  1. Too bad about the candles. With a snow theme, they would look lovely. What about those lights that look like flickering candles? I know they come in ivory. If you put those on top of small round mirrors or glass coasters or surrounded them with glass beads in ice blue, I think it would look lovely and snowy.

This even has baby blue in it. Very simple and elegant.

  3. You can check theknot.com as they have a wide range of centerpieces with different colors. If you find one you like, you can either choose it and have it recopy or look for the vendor who designed it and have it redesign for you. Hope that helps

  4. How about a basket filled with fake snow pine cones, and snowflakes? You can tie ribbon around the handle and make a bow, add christmas twinkle lights to give it a sparkle or battery operated tea-lights in between the cone to give it a glow. You can do this in a vase, bowl, decorative box!

You also use snow-globes surrounded by flowers or snowflake, or piece cones.

Oh or you could have lanterns (you can use paper or glass) Decorate them with snowflakes, glitter in the wedding colors ribbon, any thing you like. With pine cones sitting around the base. Most paper lanterns are battery operated no flame.

You can buy them at Wal Mart during the Christmas season, the pine cones and they have scents on them, they are really kewl and then you can paint them with the snow, put them in the basket and add some white flowers to it.

  6. What would look great is tall twisted twigs covered in gold or white glitter in large tall vases, you could buy cheap twigs from a department store, and spray them yourself to save cost you could use the colour glitter that suits you then.

  7. Could not find any pictures for you but that sounds cute. You could also use tree branches... not to big of course and use several in a tall vase. Spray paint the branches white and add glitter and There ya go! Snow at the bottom of the bases might add a cute touch also. Good Luck!

  8. my friend had a winter wedding

    she took

    a pillar candles

in her colors and put it in a vase

then put fake snow around it then french vanilla coffee

    then more fake snow

    it looked AMAZING

    and smelled even better.

  9. If you go to Joann Fabrics, Michaels or AC Moore they have these crystal ball-y type things on twigs.

Those in a small fishbowl turned upside down with some battery operated white (or blue) Christmas lights would look great.

Sprinkle some fake clear rhinestones randomly around the table to look like diamonds.

You could even add some styrofoam balls covered in cut glass. Or Add some silver, white or baby blue Christmas balls in the arrangement with your wedding date written in a special marker.

The entire arrangement should look like a Crystal snowball from Santa Claus is coming to town (the cartoon).

    Have fun!

  10. I think that is a great idea.  I don't really like centerpieces because I find they can be over-the-top, but your idea sounds wonderfully simple and very wintery!

Here are some links to things you'll need to make them work:

Gems and stones in wintery colours: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/glassgems2...

And vase lighting that isn't candles if you want: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/chrisligan...

    Good Luck!

  11. That would be really pretty! What other colors are you using? If you are using other wintery or Christmas-y colors, those would be easy enough to use ... like, include a poinsettia or a teeny Christmas tree on the tables also, or little sleds or wintery themes. That's the time of year that the decorations are so plentiful, I'm sure there are so many things you can use. Can you give more specifics about your colors?
