Question:

Ceramic soap dish coming off of shower?

The ceramic soap dish in my shower is pulling away from the wall. How do I fix this myself? I have been keeping the area dry so that it doesn't fall off completely...but I need to fix it before I get company next week. Any suggestions. Thanks a bunch.

  1. These are now available in most UK DIY stores... and assuming you are in the USA, I'm sure the same applies there as well.

    or try this linkhttp://www.qvcuk.com/ukdetail/ViewOption...

Fixwiz item number:515732 on QVC UK, if the link does not work. But I've seen them for sale in B&Q.

  2. Remove the soap dish from the wall.  Place construction adhesive to the soap dish where it will stick to either the inside of the wall or to the tile.  Replace the soap dish and tape it into position with duct tape.  Remove any surplus adhesive from the tile and let the soap dish dry for 24 hours.  Once the soad dish is dry, calk around the dish to the wall tile and let the calking dry.
