Cerbera Marcel and Ice Cool Billy joint favourites for 5th Leg Pick 6 Jackpot
Cerbera Marcel and Ice Cool Billy are all set to lock horns in the 5th Leg Pick 6 Jackpot at Yarmouth in England on Monday, April 16, 2012. The winner of the Grade A2 event will bag a cash prize of £88.
The stamina of all hounds will be put to a stern test, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 462 metres in the race, which is scheduled to start at 20:57 GMT. Following are the entries confirmed for the event: Cerbera Marcel, Ice Cool Billy,
Broadacres Elsa, Less Than Zero, Tulla Rose and Ice Cool Light.
Looking at the recent performances of all the greyhounds, Cerbera Marcel and Ice Cool Billy seem to be in very good position to win. They are very good runners and will definitely give a tough time to each other in the race.
The former of the two hounds has been doing a good job at Yarmouth recently. He did a couple of solo runs at the venue in order to get used to the conditions. Afterwards, he managed to win one race here in March, but was unable to repeat such a show in his
most recent outing, where he ended up third.
The E. Samuels’ trainee will have to push hard in order to challenge the rest of the pack in the race. He is the son of Kiowa Sweet Trey out of Royal County and was born in March 2009.
On the other hand, Ice Cool Billy has the tools to deliver a race winning performance at Yarmouth today. He has been running quite regularly in this class, thus the punters will have full faith in his abilities.
The J. A. White’s trained hound managed to win one race out of his past five attempts, thus he appears to be in good rhythm at the moment. He secured a third spot in his most recent event, but is expected to do better than that today.
The seasoned dog is the son of Boherduff Light out of Westmead Eliza and was born in September 2008.
Although the top two favourites are in good rhythm, the rest of the runners cannot be ruled out completely, as they are all quality competitors.
