Why would an interstate bridge collapse in one of the most friendliest cities in America? A state like Minnesota were people still look out for one another too. A State with more common sense, honor, and integrity than the rest. Also considering that it is the United States. It's not some 3rd world country were some corrupt government official pocketed the money for road repair. How could this ever happen to Minnesota and are you people not ashamed?

  1. What a tragedy this was, like so many structures, we have to wonder how many others have excess construction weight  placed above the earlier-reported too-thin gusset plates?..Where does the palm greasing, shoddy workmanship, too big of a hurry and crooked politicians giving contracts end...Detroit(Michigan) - Mayor, Auto industry, is also going through rough times, as is Louisiana, Mississippi, California and Texas just to name a few.  I think all these States have hard working, loyal residents who trust the officials they elect to do the job, safely, correctly and with a degree of morals.....thank you

  2. u havnt heard about ur president selling contracts to friends in the iraq war then....

  3. Oh, now, stuff does happen. The infrastructure of the US is deteriorating every where, not just Minnesota. The fact that the bridge collapsed doesn't mean that Minnesotans don't care. It was just their turn for turmoil. Yes, politics has something to do with the infrastructure problems and that bridge, but that isn't to say that the cause of the collapse was some gross negligence beyond reason. Maybe if the multi-billionaires would pay their fair share of taxes, we wouldn't have the problem to begin with.
