Certified birth cirtificate?

if i already have the hospital birth cirtificate can i just go to the main office and get a certified one right away? cause im traveling soon and i need it..to get an ID.

The certified birth certificate has an embossed stamp on it.  The hospital record is just that, a record of live birth.  Your county courthouse should be able to give you a certified birth certificate that will serve your purposes.  This is best requested in person with identification ready.
