Question:

Cervical mucous to chart ovulation? ?

I've been reading up on ways to TTC. Just a little confused here, is cervical mucous is the same as vaginal discharge? It's because i don't seem to observe much of the 'dry' days as i get disharge down under every now and then. If so, does it mean the disharge will be heavier on fertile period?

  2. As far as I'm aware cervical mucous is the same as vaginal discharge. I've read and have been told by a pharmacist that your fertile days are when your mucous is heavy and is a bit stringy, like egg whites.

Another way of charting fertility is monitoring your temperature. Take your tempereature first thing in the morning, before you get out of bed and keep a record over your monthly cycle. Apparently you will see a pattern and the days when your temperature peaks is when you are most fertile.

You can also buy kits from chemists that measure when you are ovulating through your urine

    Hope this helps :)

  3. tracking your cervical mucous/discharge (which is the same thing) is a very good way to keep track of your ovulation. That's what worked for me and my husband. On your most fertile days you will have a clear stretchy egg yolk like discharge. Make sure to drink plenty of water on this day and the following two days. The first month i used this method I became pregnant.
