Ok I know alot of you are going to say go to the doctor and yes, I already have an appointment but it's not until September 8th and I started my period so I don't want to miss ovulation. I keep hearing how woman have egg white mucus and the only thing I ever notice is a really wet clear discharge but it's never stretchy or thick like egg whites. Does this sound like i'm not ovulating? Besides checking temps and a little cramping, are there any other signs of ovulation?

  1. Some of the other signs of ovulation are increased s*x drive, slightly swollen labia, and cervical position is high, soft, and open.

Many women never get eggwhite mucus and that's ok, you just use the thinnest cervical mucus you have as your fertile mucus. There are 5 categories of mucus, Dry/no mucus, Sticky, Creamy/Lotiony, Eggwhite, Watery.

As long as your cycles are regular, within 25-40 days in length, then in all likelyhood you are ovulating.

Another option would be to use ovulation predictor kits to see if you can get a positive.

  2. EWCM is a good sign of ovulation but women who are trying to conceive don't always get it NOT because they aren't ovulating but because the stress of TTC can cause you to be dry. I know women who have never seen EWCM and still got pregnant... every body is different.
