Cerwin vega stroker 124?

OKAY! i bought a brand new cerwin vega stroker 124... its 2000w RMS and 4000w Max peek.... so i bought a 4200w cheap legacy amp... its a legacy sharp steel... well i hook it all up and the sub really isnt that loud... the amp will go to protect mode about every 40 seconds... i have the sub bridged and both voice coils hooked up... just a neg and a pos to both coils... i have tried to wire it parallel and it was even more quiet... i know its a **** amp but please tell me what i can do! i have checked the ground and everything so thats not making it go to protect or nething... please help... thanks in advanced...

  1. sounds like your running that amp at 1 ohm most legacy amps only take 4 ohms bridged. so i would wire the 124 up for a 8 ohm load then bridge it this should give u a 4 ohm mono load and your protection light should stay off.


  2. get a real amp 2 run that speaker

  3. u r running that amp at 2 low  of  a ohm...get a better amp that will be one ohm stable go to   onlinecarstereo.com  or go to ebay
