And Cesar Azpilicueta feels that it would be very hard for any team in the division to stop PSG from winning the Ligue 1 title this season.
While talking to reporters, the former Osasuna man admitted that the capital club has become arguably the strongest club in the Ligue 1 and considering the quality players they have at their disposal, it would be very surprising if they fail to win Ligue
1 next season.
"PSG are favourites for the Ligue 1 title," the Spaniard told his club's official website.
Azpilicueta, who has been linked with a move away from Stade Velodrome with English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 touted as possible destination, said that Les Parisiens have invested heavily in the transfer market and have brought some of the best players
in the world.
The 22-year-old stated that the players Ligue 1 runners up have brought in, are very experienced and have an impressive track record.
"They have invested a lot of money and have recruited a lot of very good players with incredible track records and extensive experience. They have a lot of talent now.”
The Marseille man said that the arrival of such top brass players in the country is a good sign for Ligue 1 and it will only improve the level of football in the country.
"It is good for the league to boast new players. It will improve the level, and now it will be hard for everybody."
Marseille will kick-off their 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign on August 12.
