The former Inter Milan goalkeeper has expressed his disappointment over his side’s abysmal showings in Premier League, but has made it clear that he will continue plying his trade at Loftus Road Stadium.
Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Julio-Cesar-c19961, has made it clear that he does not want to leave his side before the end of his contract. The 33-year-old gloves man, who joined the English side earlier this year in the summer transfer window, has an ongoing
contract at Loftus Road Stadium that runs until the summer of 2016.
The Brazilian goalkeeper, who joined the club after making 299 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in all competitions during his seven years stay at San Siro, has expressed disappointment over his side’s abysmal showings in the English top flight that has dropped
them to the bottom of the table.
And the veteran shot-stopper, who has won several pieces of silverware while playing for both http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Flamengo-c39361 and Inter, has admitted that he has never faced this kind of situation during his entire career.
“I've never been in this situation in my life, I've always been fighting for titles. It's a bad moment for us but many, many things are behind the situation”, Cesar said while talking to reporters.
QPR commenced the 2012/13 campaign with Mark Hughes on board, but the 49-year-old tactician was sacked following the club’s 13 games winless run, and the club management appointed Harry Redknapp as the club’s new coach.
The former Inter goalkeeper has admitted that the sacking of the club’s former manager did not come as a surprise for any of his teammates.
“It was not a big surprise that Mark Hughes got sacked, it was normal. If you go 13 games without a win it's very difficult for a coach to stay”, Cesar added.
Following QPR’s poor showings, reports in English media indicated that the Brazilian international will leave the club at the end of the ongoing 2012/13 campaign.
However, the 33-year-old has made it clear that he does not intend to leave the English side until his contract expires.
“My contract is for four years and I hope I will be here all that time. I liked Mr Fernandes the first time I spoke to him. He is a very straightforward person who knows what he wants. I'm enjoying the club despite it being a bad situation at this moment”,
Cesar concluded.
