Rossoneri legend, Cesare Maldini, believes that A.C Milan have become a competitive team but they are still not on par with English Champions, Manchester United and Spanish Champions, Barcelona.
Maldini believes that Milan have past the hardships and they are slowly and steadily returning to their best. The 79-year-old is impressed with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has done in his debut season with the club and
has urged Milan to stick with him. However, the former Torino star believes that the team has still much to achieve before matching the standards set by Manchester United and Barcelona.

“Milan have passed the difficult years, now is they get back at the highest levels,” he concluded.
Allegri won the Scudetto in his first managerial year with the Rossoneri and ended a seven year drought of winning the Serie A. He has now set his sights on winning the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming campaign. Milan have
struggled to make an impact in the European competitions ever since they won the 2006/07 campaign. The Rossoneri have not gone beyond the first knockout round since then and even failed to qualify for the competition in one season between this period.
Maldini believes that his former employers still need one world class signing to compete in the Champions League next season and a left side midfielder has become a necessity.
“The squad that Allegri has at his disposal is good in every role. There is still the famous mezz’ala [box to box mid] for the left side, but AC Milan are already a very good team,”
