The Azzurri chief states that he is not worried about Leonardo Bonucci’s connection to the betting probe; insists that the Juventus defender could still be included in the Euro squad.
Cesare Prandelli has voiced his concern over the unexpected raid on Domenico Criscito’s room, and insists that the incident could be very damaging for the young kids who support Italy.
The Zenit player’s room in Italy’s training head-quarters was raided by police, after the defender was linked with the betting match-fixing scandal.
Prandelli revealed that he was oblivious to the sudden foray of investigators, and insisted that the news of the raid will greatly affect the young minds that love the game.

While talking to the press, the 54-year-old said
“I wasn’t aware of the raid at all. What has happened is very damaging, especially to the young kids who support us. Bonucci is calm, as we all are. He’s not received any official paperwork. If he’s OK tomorrow then he will be
available for Euro 2012.”
The Azzurri won the 2006 World Cup while a similar Calciopoli scandal was ravaging through the Italian football landscape.

The Italy manager stated that he still has to cut out two players from the 25-man selection, and insisted that he is still pondering over his options and could take six strikers with him.
Prandelli assured that Gigi Buffon will be included in the final squad, as he has only picked up a minor muscle twinge, and will be fine before the start of Euro 2012.
