Cassano was the star performer in Italy’s 2-1 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 in a friendly at Bari on August 10th, 2011. There were a lot of concerns from Italian supporters that the former Sampdoria star has put on a lot of weight
during the summer and might not be able to perform at the highest level.
The striker desperately wants to represent his team in the next year’s Euro 2012 competition in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032. Cassano has shown his concerns that lack of first team football at Milan might cost him his place in the national
team. The former Real Madrid star was linked with several clubs, who could provide him with first team action on regular basis but Prandelli has urged him to take care of his fitness and not first team action.
“It’s not important whether he is guaranteed a first team shirt or not. What is key is that he maintains a good physical condition. If that happens then I wouldn’t be surprised if he is always playing by the end of the season.”
The 29-year-old is believed to be ranked 4th in the pecking order of strikers at San Siro.
On the other hand, the tactician is surprised that neither of the Italian sides have signed Villarreal striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giuseppe-Rossi-c15027, this summer.
Rossi has constantly been linked with a move to Juventus but the Turin giants could not agree a fee with the club. Prandelli wants to see the striker playing for a top Italian club and believes that he deserves to get a chance

“I’d like to see him playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. He most certainly deserves to be at one of the big Italian clubs.” said the former Fiorentina boss
The former Manchester United man has been in scintillating form of late and has become a first team regular in the Italian team.
