The former head coach of Fiorentina has gone on to remark on the path that the Italian national team is on and he lauded the players for their resilience and approach.
The head coach of the Italian national team has gone on to state his optimism ahead of the World Cup qualifiers by commenting that the team is going in the right direction. He was talking to the press and during his conversation with the media, he went on
to remark that it would be in the best interests of the Nazionale if they continued with the same fervour, enthusiasm and vigour.
While remarking on the state of affairs currently prevalent in the squad, he remarked that it was extremely refreshing to witness the youngsters fulfilling the expectations that are levied on to them, and remarked that 2013 would be a special year for the
Azzurri national team. He stated that it is imperative that they look to perform to the best of their abilities in the upcoming year and increase the lead in the Group B to a greater extent as they look to perform to their potential.
The Italian national team finds themselves in the first position of the group they are in, of the World Cup qualifiers. They are in the Group B and are currently on 10 points from a potential 12 points and they have a decent lead over the other countries

While remarking on the upcoming Confederations Cup, Prandelli remarked that they are in a good place and would be looking to leave a good impression in the tournament. He further commented:
“I am very satisfied with the response given by the young players. In 2013 we must further increase our lead in the 2014 World Cup qualifying group so we can book our ticket as soon as possible. The Confederations Cup will be the opportunity to perform some
new tests.”
