Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Prandelli mentioned that he was willing to wait and observe patience in the selection.
“I have told both that I’m ready to wait for them until the last minute of the last day. I spoke for a long time with Antonio and we exchanged more than a few promises.” He said.
The former Fiorentina boss has made sure that his injured strikers know that their services for Italy have not gone unnoticed. He praised the part Cassano played in ensuring Italy’s progress to Euro 2012, further commenting:
“We haven’t even ruled out that he could come as our 24th man, seeing as he made such a decisive contribution to our qualification.”
However, the 54-year-old still has to make appropriate adjustments to his Italy squad in case the strikers fail to fully recover in time for the tournament. He is thinking of trying out the unusual partnership of Di Natale and
