The Italians put in a spirited display against the reigning World and European Champions; however they were not as clinical as they should have been which led to a 1-1 score line against the Spaniards. La Nazionale defence was
extremely well organised and their line up put in a thoroughly professional display.
Croatia were far more prolific in front of goal and got on the score sheet three minutes into the match, but it must be noted that it was a less superior side than the Italians. Slaven Bilic’s men produced a wonderful display of
football, winning the match comprehensively and the score line failed to show the dominance they had on the field against the Irish.
Cesare Prandelli was talking to the press before the match against Croatia, and the former Fiorentina manager was quick to acknowledge the importance of the tie and the team they were up against. He went on to state that the Azzurri
have no other option other than to win the tie.
La Nazionale manager mentioned that they would study their game in detail and see what formation is the best to tackle the threat of the Blazers. He was quoted to have said:
“The game against Croatia will be the most decisive of the group. Now we’ll study them, we’ll get to know them, but they changed a few things in their last match.”
The manager went on to state that the Vatreni were not predictable which made matters tricky as they would have to accommodate for that factor. However, he mentioned that they knew the Croat’s strong points, and Bilic’s men had
the ability to be completely different from one half to another.
“Croatia are a more dangerous side now as they are more unpredictable. They can change their play, even from one half to another. We have always thought that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Croatia-c2879 were a real side.”
The match would be played in Poznan on 14th June 2012 at 17.00 GMT. The match will be played at the Stadion Miejski.
