Italian national team manager, Cesare Prandelli, is yet to decide about his strike options for the upcoming Euro 2012 to be held in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032.
Antonio Cassano and Giuseppe Rossi have spearheaded the Gli Azzurri squad in the recent past, but the duo has been ruled out for an indefinite period through long-term injuries. Cassano underwent an operation on his heart after
an ischemic stroke recently. On the other hand, Rossi has got his troublesome knee operated recently.
The A.C Milan striker has started light training, and is expected to return to action towards the end of next month. However, the Villarreal hitman is expected to return to training in April.
Prandelli is upbeat over the duo’s fitness and insists that he will wait for them until the last day.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, Prandelli said,
“Rossi is recovering. We’ll wait until the very last moment to have him back. It’s the same for Cassano.”
Udinese striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940, are widely tipped to return to the national team after not featuring for the Gli Azzurri for more than a year. Prandelli admitted that he is open to selecting
anyone in his team and it will depend on their performances for their respective clubs.
“At the end of the championship we’ll have a look and evaluate which players have had a certain kind of consistency. Is there a possibility that we can see Totti and Di Natale? Yes, absolutely.” added the former Atalanta player
