Question:

Cesarean due to shape of end of spinal cord?

Has anyone else experienced a c-section after a long labour due to not being able to get the baby out from the shape/curve at the bottom of their spinal cord? I'm guessing my next delivery will have to be the same and I will never experience a natural birth?

  1. You're saying your tailbone (coccyx) is curved the wrong way, something like that? I'd run to the chiropractor, that's his/her area of expertise.

Yep, I'd go in a hurry, start getting ready for that vaginal birth...

  2. That area of your spinal column is your tailbone, and lying on your back for delivery causes the tailbone to press further in, narrowing the birth canal. Being upright would help you. Try to find a midwife or natural birth doula for your next birth if you want to have a VBAC. Good luck!
