Cesc Fabrégas to hold crunch talks and James Milner to complete move
Ex-Barcelona player Gai Assulin could be heading to Manchester City.

The Israeli is valued at around £34million, and apparently fell out with Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and his coaching staff and didn’t extend his contract. Meanwhile, James Milner will complete his move from Aston Villa to Manchester City this week, and the deal would see Stephen Ireland heading to Villa in a part-exchange.

Manchester United will attempt to sign Lassana Diarra from Real Madrid, and the deal could see Manchester United player Tom Cleverley going on loan to Bolton Wanderers. Also, United could offer midfielder Anderson plus £12million in order to land Werder Bremen’s Mesut Özil.

With Javier Mascherano set to depart Liverpool, the club have turned their attentions to signing Christian Poulsen of Juventus. However, Poulsen’s agent Joern Bonnesen has said an agreement has yet to be reached between the two clubs.

Birmingham City will try to sign Juventus left-back Fabio Grosso on a season-long loan deal, while the club also want to sign Mama Biram Diouf from Manchester United on loan.

Cesc Fabrégas’ future at Arsenal continues to be uncertain, with Barcelona wanting to bring him to the Camp Nou, and the 23-year-old Spaniard will hold talks with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger tomorrow. Also, reports in Barcelona suggest Fabrégas’ family are said to be upset that Barcelona has not been able to sign the Arsenal captain.

German defender Per Mertesacker, who has been linked with a £10million to Arsenal in the last few weeks, will remain at Werder Bremen, according to the general manager Klaus Allofs.

Chelsea winger Scott Sinclair will join Blackpool and turn down offers from Ipswich Town and Swansea City, while West Ham have been offered Cagliari goalkeeper Ferderico Marchetti if current keeper Robert Green leaves the Hammers.

Tottenham Hotspur are close to signing Yannick Djalo from Sporting Lisbon for £4million, but could face competition from Newcastle United, while current Tottenham player Adel Taarabt could sign for Queens Park Rangers for £1million, and Leeds United boss Simon Grayson wants Steven Caulker on loan from Tottenham.

New Fulham manager Mark Hughes has said keeper Mark Schwarzer will not be leaving the club this summer, while Aiden McGeady looks set to make the move to Spartak Moscow for around £9.5million after missing the last few games for Celtic.
