Cesc Fabregas believes http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 midfielder and Spanish international, Cesc Fabregas has gone on to claim that Spain were by far the better side in their game against England, despite the team losing out by one goal to nil.
Spain took on England in an international friendly, in a game that was supposed to be a schooling for the English squad. However, following a lucky break, England went on to beat the world champions by one goal to nil, thanks to a headed goal scored by Frank
Lampard.
Fabregas himself could have helped Spain pick up a draw or a win, had he been able to covert the numerous chances that he got in the game.
The best chance fell to the Spaniard some two minutes before the end of the game, but unfortunately, the midfielder just couldn’t keep his effort on target and as a result, ended up scuffing his shot and Spain’s chances of getting something from the game.
Despite performing rather averagely in the game, the midfielder went on to hit out at the English defenders, as he claimed they had their work cut out for them during the game. At the same time, Fabregas claimed that Spain played the better football in the
game, but were just unlucky to not score the goal that would enforce their dominance of the game.
When talking about the game, the midfielder is quoted to have said: "We dominated the game, we made England defend the whole 90 minutes"

"There were two completely different styles of football here, and the more defensive one won.
"We know that the only way they could score was from a free-kick or a corner. We conceded a not-very-intelligent free-kick and we paid for it.”
"We are happy because we played very well."
Spain dominated possession in the game, but they just couldn’t capitalize on the chances that they had in the game. The closest the team came to getting the breakthrough was when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 went on to strike the post with a volley.
However, Spain will now have a lot of work to do before their upcoming game, as they look to maintain their stance as being the best team in the world.
Since then, England have gone on to beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Costa-Rica-c2877. As a result, many now believe the World Champions have lost their hold on the game and are more than likely to lose their charm and appeal on the world of
football, over the course of the coming months.
