Cesc Fabregas claims Arsenal can’t win any titles – Premier League News
Former Arsenal captain and current Barcelona midfielder, Cesc Fabregas seems to have made some rather dubious comments about his former team.
The player is reported to have gone ahead and stated that he does not see his former team being in contention for any titles and that they are more than likely to be pushed over by the bigger teas in the league.
At the same time, he saw these setbacks in the team to be the perfect reason for him to walk away from the club and return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Fabregas is quoted to have said: "I want to be in a club that is able to win the big titles year after year and I don't see that kind of future for Arsenal.”
The player then admitted that he still felt strongly about his former team, but it was very hard to see them come close to the other big teams in the league.
"I still have many feelings for Arsenal, but I fear that they won't be able to push the other big clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 away.”
"If you look at the team this season I can't see them finishing in front of teams like Manchester United or [Manchester] City, or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. There's just too big a difference between the squads.”
After making his claims about the team and their future, the player then turned the attention back on himself and admitted that the team needed to replace him at the Emirates and looking at the quality that some of the players at the club have, Arsenal could
potentially get back to their winning ways.
Fabregas added: "I hope they will replace me and the others that have left with some quality players and maybe they can take Arsenal back to their level as champions."
It is rather shocking to see Fabregas make such comments about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 and for that very reason, these comments that the player has apparently made, seem a little suspicious. It is still not clear if Fabregas actually said this, or if the media just interpreted
what he said in a completely different manner.
Nonetheless, irrelevant of what has actually happened, it is quite hard to argue with these words. Arsenal have come a long way from their time as being one of the biggest teams around and in order to reclaim those titles once again, they need to step their
game up and start producing results.
It is now up to the Gunners and Arsene Wenger to help the team come out of its slump and reclaim top spot once again.
