Cesc Fabregas claims the Arsenal crows at Highbury was better than the Emirates
Former Arsenal captain and current http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 midfielder, Cesc Fabregas has gone on to admit that the crowd at Highbury was far better than the current crowd at the Emirates. The player admitted that the atmosphere was significantly better in the Gunners
older stadium and that he felt more at home when he played there, as compared to the Emirates.
Fabregas, when talking about the two stadiums is quoted to have said: "I have never felt at home as I was at Highbury at any other stadium in the world but it was not my decision, it was the club's decision, it was what they needed in that moment.”
He then went on to state that it was now up to the Gunners and the team’s fans to go ahead and make the Emirates the new Highbury. Not only would that help the team perform better, but it would also ensure the team winning some silverware in the near future.
"Highbury was a special thing that I don't think will happen anymore, but Arsenal have to make the Emirates their own home now and with their own cabinet of trophies to start all over again."
Fabregas then went on to admit that despite having left the Gunners, he was still one of the biggest fans the team has. He went on to talk about the team’s match against Udinese and admitted that he had watched the whole game. Fabregas mentioned that he
was particularly scared when Udinese scored the opening goal and when they were awarded a penalty, but he was then overcome with joy, when he saw the North London club take the game to the Italians in the second half and go on to beat them by two goals to
one.
Nonetheless, these words by Fabregas seem to be fairly similar to those that were spoken by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360, following his departure to Manchester City. The French international spoke about how the Emirates crowd wasn’t very lively and they often went on to
ridicule the players, instead of trying to spur them on. In fact, he admitted that the crowd was one of the prime reasons for him wanting to part ways with the club.
It is amazing to see both the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 players go on and label the Emirates as not being up to the standards of Higbury. This is because if anything, the Gunners fans have admitted that they are now louder than they have ever been and perhaps if the
two players had won a trophy or two, they would have given the fans a reason to cheer about.
