Cesc Fabregas dismisses rumours of bad injury
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has dismissed rumours that he is suffering from a worse hamstring injury than first feared.
Fabregas has been in and out of the Arsenal team over the last 24 months with a constant hamstring problem restricting his appearances. However, the Spaniard says it's a muscle fluid problem and nothing
more.
"The good news is there is no tear on the hamstring, nothing. It's just a little bit of fluid, but it keeps coming
back. It's outside the muscle, the 'skin' of the muscle. It's not really a muscle injury, it's fluid that keeps coming back and it's very annoying," he said in Arsenal's
matchday programme.
Fabregas is arguably the most important player in Arsenal football club and club medics must continue to keep an eye on this problem. Any long absence from the side for
Fabregas will have a negative impact on the team.
Something to monitor
Fabregas is so important to Arsenal and any chances of Arsenal success that the club must keep one eye constantly on their captain. This means routine tests, checks and
treatment to make sure this injury doesn't stop him from playing.
Fabregas is captain of the football club and a key component of the way Arsene Wenger likes his team to play football. His quality on the ball and the number of chances
he sets up with creative vision and passes will be hugely missed.
"We are working on it, looking at my hips because they are always very
tight. We have to work on it but also understand that I am 23-years-old and I've played many, many games.
Soon I will play my 200th Premier League game as well as nearly 60 for the national team and 60 in the Champions League.
So that's a lot of games for my age," he added.
Betting advice
In a betting sense, Fabregas adds so much more to Arsenal whenever he plays. When he's not in the team, the midfield can look disorganised and clumsy, which prevents Arsenal
from playing the free flowing game the club is known for.
