The Spanish midfielder was not getting a lot of playtime with the Catalan giants, but recently he has been making it into the first-team and admits that he finally understands his new coach.
Cesc Fabregas joined Barcelona from the Premier League giants, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, and since then he has not been settling with the first-team as the players already present in the squad are performing phenomenally.
Many were labelling Fabregas as a ‘bench warmer’ when he left La Blaugrana, but soon enough he was seen playing in the false-9 position and the Spaniard was able to play phenomenally in the attacking role.
He was able to mirror the same role in the Spanish national team as well, during the time Vicente Del Bosque was missing the services of his first-choice striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 was not in his usual goal-scoring form.
While playing under http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s former coach, Josep Guardiola, Cesc Fabregas was playing in an attacking role; however, since the arrival of Tito Vilanova, Cesc Fabregas is usually a substitute in place of either Xavi Hernandez or Andres Iniesta.
Both these players play their part in the centre of the pitch and Cesc Fabregas was not usually comfortable playing in that position.
However, the Spaniard has finally admitted that he has started understanding his new position and how Tito Vilanova wants him to play.
Cesc admitted that he was having problems before but now everything is clear to him and he can play in the role which is on offer by Tito Vilanova.
While speaking about the Catalan boss, Cesc Fabregas said:
“I now understand what he wants. I know he wants to me to hold my position more and he doesn’t need me to run up and down so much.”
Recently, Andres Iniesta got injured and was left on the sidelines by the Catalan coach, Tito Vilanova. During that time period, Cesc Fabregas was the player who performed in Andres Iniesta’s role and was able to live up to the expectations.
While many thought that Fabregas can only play in place of Xavi Hernandez, he was able to perform in the new-found position and is now playing phenomenally for La Blaugrana.
The Spanish star is currently playing as a false-9 for the Spanish national team and is an integral part of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Del Bosque’s plans.
