Cesc Fabregas is more than willing to return to Arsenal
Spanish international and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, should he end up leaving Barcelona at any time in the future.
The midfielder went on to leave Arsenal to join Barcelona at the start of the season and since then, he has gone on to become an integral part of the Catalan club.
Prior to him leaving the team, the midfielder used to be captain of the North London club and was the player around whom the team had evolved.
Nonetheless, it seems like the Spaniard still feels that Arsenal is close to his heart and regards Arsene Wenger to be one of the greatest influences in his life.
The young midfielder when talking about his future and the possibility of ever returning to Arsenal is quoted to have said: "If I have to leave Barcelona, I will go back to Arsenal - I would like to"
"I am not embarrassed to say that the day I left I could only say 'Thank you very much', I couldn't say more.
"I'm not embarrassed to say that I nearly cried. Arsene Wenger, I have never met someone that loyal. He is one of the best, I really believe that."
Fabregas, despite being as good as he is, might never really return to Arsenal. The player has already become a crucial part of the Catalan side and Barcelona are most probably never going to let him leave the club.
The team currently has Xavi playing as their central midfielder, but with the Spaniard nearing retirement, the team is going to start to rely on Fabregas in the near future. Once that does happen, the team is not going to let the player leave, since they won’t have anyone else to fill in for him.
All in all, it seems like Fabregas’s comments if anything are targeted at the Gunners fans, only to prevent them from lashing out at the player, should he every return to the Emirates to play a game.
