Cesc Fabregas saga revisited – Arsene Wenger should consider his options: English Premier League (Part 1)
Much like the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 bread and butter of the transfer window but a nightmare for the managers. Arsene Wenger is once again in the thick of it all but Fabregas is now making it difficult for his mentor to operate the club successfully.
Footballers tend to pull these sorts of stunts and Fabregas is no different from any modern footballer. At the end of the day, football is much more than just a passion for players, it is a source of income and it is about money and fame. For Fabregas, a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 might do wonders for him as a footballer but at Arsenal, the Spaniard’s move is now like a sword hanging over the club’s head. Wenger is trying to revitalize a team which fell short of the mark last season long.
When the business end of the Premier League season came about, the Gunners were found wanting. Wenger’s failure to buy a suitable defender with Premier League calibre backfired in the Carling Cup final. Not only that, the Frenchman also failed in his endeavours to find a reliable goalkeeper for the London club. Arsenal rotated between the likes of Wojciech Szczęsny and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Almunia-c23386 throughout the season.
Whilst Wojciech was seen as a much stable option than his experienced counterpart, the Polish shot stopper was caught off guard several times in the 2010-2011 Premier League season when Arsenal were competing on three fronts  namely, the UEFA Champions League, the Carling Cup as well as the English Premier League. Wenger was forced to opt for Almunia in the latter stages of the season when Wojciech sustained a finger injury.
Nonetheless, Arsene can do well with dealing with these problems at hand at Arsenal F.C. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Samir-Nasri-c32360’s tantrums.
As far as the Fabregas problem is concerned, Wenger should step up to the plate and get the deal done as soon as possible. In http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463, Arsenal have a wonder midfield prospect waiting in the wings. The Englishman has already proved in the 2010-2011 season that he is willing to take up the responsibility of becoming the main playmaker for Arsenal in Fabregas’ absence, thus Wenger should take up a realistic point of view.
The former Monaco manager is now only delaying the inevitable. Why not cash in on Fabregas as an asset right now?  In the 2010-2011 Premier League season, Fabregas suffered various injuries. However one injury that was prominent was the regularly occurring hamstring one. Wenger is well aware of his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314’s limits and he should take advantage of the situation.
Barcelona are willing to offer up to 40 million pounds for their ex-youth academy player. Imagine the investment that Wenger can bring into the club with that kind of transfer money. In the next part of this article we will discuss the players that Arsene can bring in to strengthen his squad in a situation where he decides to cash in on Fabregas’ talent.
