Cesena confirm Giaccherini deal with Juventus: Serie A news
Cesena President, Igor Campedelli, has confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for attacker, Emanuele Giaccherini.
The Turin giants have agreed to pay €3m to own 50 percent ownership of the striker and have also sent Uruguayan midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Martinez-c24468, on-loan to Cesena for the 2011/12 season. Giaccherini was linked with Antonio Conte’s side
for the past few weeks and the deal was delayed due to some complications in agreeing a price.
Campedelli has confirmed that everything has been agreed with Juventus and the striker is set to join his new team in a few hours.
Taking to the reporters Campedelli said, “We have an agreement with Juventus for Giaccherini. The clubs are agreed on everything, so it’s just a matter of hours. Emanuele is about to begin his new adventure.”
Juventus have signed several new players this summer but a winger was still missing in their shopping. It is believed that the pocked-sized attacker will be the last piece of business for the Old Lady this summer.
Giaccherini emerged from the youth ranks of Cesena in 2004 and went onto score 13 goals in 70 appearances for the Seahorses. He also spent three loan moves away from the Stadio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dino-c11319 Manuzzi and has played for Forli, Bellaria and
Pavia.
The Cesena President also expressed his delight on arrival of Martinez at the club and believes that he will be a great addition to the squad. The former Catania star has not had the best of the times in the last campaign but Campedelli
is confident that he will find his lost form at his new club.
“I believe Martinez to be a quality player. After a disappointing season, Cesena is the right place for him to rediscover himself. He will do well here.” added the Patron
The Seahorses are hoping to improve on last season’s 15th placed finish and have already signed few new players during the summer. They will start their new campaign with an away game against newly promoted, Atlanta
at the weekend.
