Italian club, A.C. Cesena, have confirmed the signing of Fiorentina striker, Adrian Mutu, on a two-year contract.
The Romanian is pleased with a move to Stadio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dino-c11319 Manuzzi despite a massive pay cut from his previous deal. Mutu was interested in a move to Cavallucci Marini for some time now and the deal was initially planned to be sealed in the January transfer window of 2011 but the Viola blocked the move due to striker crisis at the club.
Despite falling out with the heads at Viola, Mutu thanked them for their support and insisted that he had a wonderful time at the club. The 32-year-old also admitted that he is glad to join an ambitious club and will try to give his all to help them in achieving their targets.
Talking to the reporters Mutu said: "I am excited and cannot wait to throw myself headlong into this new adventure. I thank the president [Igor] Campedelli thank for bringing me into the middle of this ambitious project at Cesena."

Mutu has been surrounded by a lot of controversies throughout his playing career and was handed a nine-month ban for testing positive in a drug test in a Coppa Italia match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 in January 2010. After the ban expired, he was again charged with a breach of contract but he returned to the first-team line-up in February 2011 and managed to make 20 appearances for Fiorentina in the 2010/11 season.
Cesena finished on the 15th spot in the 2010/11 Serie A and are looking to strengthen their squad to improve on it.
