The Cavallucci Marini manager insists that his team should fear Genoa and use the stimulus to drive them against their opponents in the upcoming match.
Mario Beretta has reflected on his player’s nerves, and admits he is not ashamed of admitting his fear for Genoa, as that could drive the team to find the coveted victory.
Cesena are placed at the bottom of the Serie A standings, and desperately need wins to pump them out of the relegation zone with just a few games left until the end of the season.
The relegation candidates are set to face Genoa in their next Serie A fixture, and the coach believes that it is about time for the team to reclaim its long lost love for victory.
The club head coach admitted that the Genoa clash will be tough one for the team, and insisted the key to their victory is to find that free flowing touch to their game, that they have failed to exhibit in the recent performances.
While talking to the gathered press on Tuesday, the tactician said:
“It will be tough but we have to play as freely as we have in these last few games, for sure. Our goal is always to look for that victory for Cesena that has been missing for too long. Genoa is a team that has disappointed; they
have important players, but are involved in the fight for survival.”
When asked if the players were nervous going into the game, the manager insisted that he is not afraid to admit that they fear their opposition as the Rossoblu support a lot of quality in their squad. He stated that his team can
channel the fear in a positive way, and use it to drive them towards a win in the match.
“I do not like to use the phrase that we fear Genoa, but they are a team with great players, so we need to play carefully, because the Ferraris is never easy to play at.”
Beretta went on to state that defender Von Bergen will not be playing in the crucial competition due to injury, and expressed his hope that the player will join the team soon.
