Question:

Ceska for a girl -- does it work as a name or is it too strange?

I kind of like the name Ceska; it's not really used as a given name (yet) but it's from the small town Ceska Lipa in Europe. The anglicized pronunciation is either "Sess-ka" or "Chess-ka" (not sure which, but I like both).

Do you think it's too strange or does it work as a name?

Which pronunciation do you prefer?

  1. Try another name

  2. I like the accurate pronounciation, and I think it's a beautiful name. It's more important that you like it than other people anyway, though. ^_^ Blessings!

  3. I like it its strange Sess-ka sounds good

  4. Ceska (Cess-ka) sounds weird, I feel like going through school the child would be teasted. I feel the same way for Cheska too, reminds me of a chess board!

  5. I like Chessy better.  Or even better Jessie.

  7. I think it works, it's cute.

  8. Ceska is not the best, but to tell you the truth Jessica would work much better that Ceska. Ceska is like Jessica said very fast.

    Hope it helps.

    Bye!

  9. I dont really like it for a first name, maybe a middle name, but if you didnt even know how to pronounce it imagine how many people she will have to correct throughout her life. I would use it as a middle name if you really love it but not a first.
