Cha Cha Willhoite to play the Fresh & Easy Kraft Legacy Junior tournament
The Fresh & Easy Kraft Legacy Junior tournament is going to be played on March 27, with the participation of Cha Cha Willhoite of Palm Desert High School.
The tournament will see junior players proving their worth just two days before the Kraft Nabisco Championship.
The players will be battling for a berth in the major event and it is expected that the field will feature competitive players.
Willhoite was recently added to the list of the confirmed players. According to the details, there are several competent players who have already been confirmed.
Willhoite is scheduled to play along with Kimmy Hill, a rising player from Palm Desert High School.
Raychelle Santos, who has represented La Quinta High School, is also on the field. Experts have said that joining Santos will help Willhoite gain plenty of confidence, as the former is known for her putting expertise on the course.
Allie Zech of Palm Desert High School is another tough contender who will be joined by Willhoite.
The tournament will not only feature competent junior players, but there will also be LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Hall of Famers in the field.
The tournament officials said that Hall of Famers will be led by Amy Alcott — one of the event’s organizers.
Alcott spoke to the media a few days back and expressed her confidence in the field. She said that the participation of multiple-talented payers will spice up the event.
CEO of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, Tim Mason said that he is happy to see the event taking shape and will keep an eye on the new developments his organization sees.
The tournament is being staged by Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market — a prominent grocery store in the United Kingdom.
“We are very excited to welcome back the LPGA greats for an exciting charity pro-am and pro-junior event to kick off tournament week,” Mason said.
“We are honored to celebrate the incredibly rich history of women’s golf at the Kraft Nabisco Championship while also providing an incredible opportunity for young female golfers to play with their idols and the game’s best”.
Observers have said that giving junior players a chance for the major championship's berth will be a step in the right direction.
