I thought that this was a joke at first, but I guess Chad Johnson actually decided to change his last name to Ocho Cinco.

If it were to make you a lot of money and get you a lot of attention, would you change your last name to something like that?

heck no. what is the point????? chad is a moron. i used to admire him. he used to be one of my favorite WRs in the game today. but now... he is just stupid... he needs to just shut up and go play football. stop trying to get all this publicity and play. thats what the difference is between players today and players of the earlier times like the 60s and 70s. back then they played for the LOVE OF THE GAME. you didnt see people quit because they didnt like their contracts. you didnt see players skip training camp because of contract negotiations.today football is played to make money. we have a bunch of knuckleheads in the league today. not all of them are knuckleheads, but there is a fair share of them.

I think it's ridiculous but at the same time you got to consider this if you were him and had a fan base and all the fans watching you , you would have to come up with new things to keep them entertained I think chad johnson helps the Bengals.

Him being there creates attention even if Bengals sucked and had Tim Couch throw in the football Viewers would still be tuned in to see what Chad Johnson had done .

Coach Marvin Lewis can say he don't approve of Johnson's actions but in all reality he does because that's more viewers more interest in the team.

He's enjoying himself so why should we be mad at that we enjoy life everyday just in a different way and if getting his name changed impacts his career and makes him feel hes doing good so be it because we couldn't change it even IF we wanted too.

God no...I frickin hate him now with a passion...he is so arrogant its ridiculous. Wearing the hall of fame jacket for me was the last straw. Instead of the narcissistic attitude of Johnson, i think the ideal receiver is like marques colston, extremely talented, but not an attention w***e ******. I hope Ocho Cinco gets hit by a bus.

Once upon a time, I too found Ocho to be comical and a nice refreshing change from the self-important receivers of the NFL. His team lost 8 games that season. Then the next year I thought maybe things would be different, nope, failed to make the playoffs again.

Now it's basically the mouthy kid in class. His act is tired and played out. He has squandered so much money to NFL fines, he'd better watch his step. In a couple of years he'll be retired and just like Ickey Woods - he'll be selling steaks out of the trunk of his car on construction sites.

To answer your question, h**l no, I'd never sell out who I am, change my name or deny who I am.
