Chad Johnson, and lendale white for Thomas Jones and Brandon Marshall??

Question

I have Chad Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Randy Moss at WR and Rashard Mendenhall, Willie Parker, Lendale White, Edgerrin James, Jon Stewart and Lamont Jordan at RB.

I know that I have 3 great starters at WR, but Id really like to get something better at RB then the worthless RBBC I have. Ive targeted Thomas Jones and Willis McGahee this season because with what Cam Cameron did in Miami last season with Ronnie Brown, I expect something similar with McGahee. Jones has gotten Faneca and Richardson this off season which should definitely do something good for him. I was unable to draft either of them however, and now I'm trying to get them each.

In your situation I might be inclined to accept this trade.  I do think Chad will put up nice numbers this year, but with Andre Johnson and Randy Moss on your team I hardly think you'll miss his production.  If you can only start 2 WRs, then you shouldn't even think twice about accepting this trade.

I don't necessarily like your running backs any more than you do, but if I was going to trade one of those guys I think it would be Edge.  If you can swap out LenDale White for James, I think you should try and do so.

Some people might tell you to forget about Jones, but I'm with you and I think he's going to have a bounce-back year and put up some pretty good numbers.  And you're really not losing much at WR by getting Marshall in return, although you'd better have somebody else to fill his spot for the first few weeks while he serves out his suspension.

You must take it.  Jones is a huge upgrade over White, who will be splitting carries.  Jones will be behind a beefed up offensive line and defenses will be forced to respect the pass with Brett Favre passing.  Marshall will suffer a suspension for the first two games, but from then on should meet or outperform the stats that Chad Johnson pusts up.  Based on your lack of quality RB depth, this is a no brainer.

Yes, do it.  Thomas Jones will put up more #s than White will.  Plus, with Favre in NY, I think could put Jones in for a breakout year (1,000 yds, 7 TDS).  Even though he's missing the first 3 games, I think Marshall will put up similar #s to CJ.  This trade could go either way but I think you end up getting the better deal.
