Chad Knaus is worried? But he has the 2 time champion driving his winnebago?

Just thought I'd point out for the ones that missed it that Chad is saying he is worried about there positioning in the points currently.(This was on "This Week in NASCAR - towards the end) They are 5th I believe, about 134 points out of 12th. Sure, thats pretty dangerous considering he could almost fall to 12th in one race.. but I mean he does have JJ (the good one) driving for him and they have won the last 2 championships! I don't know if he just said it on instinct when the questions were asked or what, but I find it hard to believe that Chad is worried about Jimmie making the chase. Anyone believe that Chad is actually worried?

Two time champion who has only won one race this year, and didn't run well in the beginning of the season. Last week Jimmie ran well and got wrecked. The points from 5-12 have tightened up considerably in the last couple weeks. There are eight chase races left. Chad is used to them being first or second in points with a comfortable 200-300 lead over the third and fourth place drivers. He's just not used to being 134 points "out of 12th". It's out of the norm for that team. I could see how he would feel angst over it. They have never been in this position before. It's normal, just not for them.

He is not so much worried as he was trying to be humble or trying to sound more worried than he actually is.  He is the master of deception, if it's black he'll say it's white over the scanner.  They have been known to purposely say something contrary to what they are doing on a pitstop in order to throw off the other teams listening to their frequency.  I think he would like other teams to THINK they are worried but deep down he knows what their equipment is like and what his driver is capable of when it's go time.

Everyone should be worried there is still alot of racing to go.Anything can happen.

Everybody but Kyle.  With 6 wins so far he will probably be #1 when the chase begins.

I'm sure there is a little bit of worry involved...but most likely they're far from panic mode. It would be wise of them to worry a little and run with some sense of urgency.
