Chad Le Clos claims Men’s 100m IM title in Beijing: 2011 FINA World Cup
The sixth round of the seven stop 2011 FINA World Cup was held in Beijing, China, from November 8-9. Chad Le Clos grabbed the Men’s 100m Individual Medley crown, while Marco Koch pocketed Men’s 200m breast-stroke title.
South Africa’s Chad Le Clos was battling against Kyle Morgan Richardson of Australia and Xiaolei Sui of China in a vital encounter, as Le Clos thrashed his rivals by hitting the finishing wall in a fastest time of 52.89 seconds to claim the Men’s 100m IM
title.
In the meantime, Richardson settled at second spot by clicking the finishing wall in a mark of 53.09 seconds and Sui of China earned bronze title in a spot of 53.31 seconds. Omar Pinzon of Colombia earned fourth place in a time of 53.34 seconds, while Masafumi
Yamaguchi of Japan picked fifth position by touching the finishing cordon in a spot of 53.92 seconds.
Yuma Kosaka of Japan earned sixth place honours by touching the finishing fence in a time of 54.42 seconds, while Markus Rogan of Austria settled at seventh spot in a mark of 54.64 seconds. Finally, Junwu Liu of China earned eighth position in a blot of
56.03 seconds.
Afterwards, the Men’s 200m breast-stroke final heat was held, where Marco Koch of Germany pocketed the gold medal by touching the finishing cordon in a time of 2 minutes and 04.72 seconds. Naoya Tomita of Japan earned second position in mark of 2 minutes
and 04.74 seconds, while Brenton Rickard of Australia claimed bronze medal in a time of 2 minutes and 06.17 seconds.
Cheng Chen of China settled at fourth place in a time of 2 minutes and 08.08 seconds, while Weijia Liu of China earned fifth spot in a mark of 2 minutes and 08.34 seconds. Meanwhile, the sixth position went to China’s Zhi Xie in 2 minutes and 09.58 seconds.
Additionally, Kyuwoong Choi of Korea earned seventh place honours by touching the finishing cordon in a mark of 2 minutes and 10.35 seconds and Yichao Hu of China picked eighth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 15.97 seconds.
