  1. No, they did not switch to Toyota...at least not yet.

  2. BAM racing had switched to Toyota and Petty Enterprises had to use a number that was in the top 50 in owner points or his second showdown car would not be eligable to race on Saturday.

  3. Great question. They joined up with Petty Enterprises for that one week only. I would imagine it is a Petty car with a #49 on it. It had Petty Enterprises crew and a Petty Enterprise crew chief. The Dodge was just because it was a Petty/BAM joint operation. They will be back in Toyotas for their next race they enter.

  4. chad is a bee? lol jk no they did not switch to Toyota

  5. Petty just "borrowed" the 49 number.  It was Petty equipment, Petty sponsors, Petty crew, Petty driver.  They had to use a number that has been raced or the car would not be eligible.

  6. With the all star race perspective sponsors are all over the track. Not only sponsors but owners looking for fresh talent.Scince BAM is running limited scedule so the Petty Enterprise has a sponsor and a talented driver so "borrow" the BAM number and show case a driver as well as a team   ( with BAM being #49 they could pick up a sponsor) and the Petty's could pick up a sponsor  to run a limited schedule with McCumbee.

So  it could be a win-win for all parties,Petty-BAM-McCumbee.
