Chael Sonnen bucks up Urijah Faber over his loss – UFC News
Although he lost the most important fight of his career, Chael Sonnen is still the most exciting personality UFC has. The American Gangster always makes it a mark to be in the headlines, either through his fights or his words.
Sonnen recently lost to UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva for the second consecutive time. The defeat was devastating and shocking for Sonnen as well as his fan club. He was knocked out in the second round of the show, an eventuality no one expected
would occur. Most UFC fans were hoping for Sonnen to end Silva’s reign as champion but what happened was quite the opposite.
However, Sonnen has put it in the past and is now happily communicating with members of UFC.
“Sorry you lost. I have no idea what it's like, I'm UNDEFEATED. Chael,” was Sonnen’s text to Urijah Faber, who recently lost Renan Barao at UFC 149.
“Haha," and added on Twitter, "thanks (Sonnen) for the encouraging text,” replied Urijah, appreciating Sonnen’s move of encouraging him.
Currently, Sonnen is in the phase where he is weighing his future options. The American mixed martial artists has offers from the World Wrestling Entertainment and other combat sport organisation but he prefers to leave them to it right now.
While Sonnen’s trainer revealed that the American fighter might retire, Chael has not uttered a single word regarding his retirement from UFC or the division. Indeed, the option of moving onto a higher division is always on his side but he prefers not to
use it right now.
Even Dana White, President of UFC, believes Sonnen has a lot more to give to the sport. In his recent interview, Dana White came up saying that Sonnen is not leaving the organisation, instead he is just weighing his options to grab the most lucrative one.
Sonnen’s accomplishments as a UFC fighter are manifold. Among all, his courage and determination to challenge Anderson Silva twice is what has made him the most popular UFC athlete of all times. As of now, Sonnen is not thinking of a rematch against Silva.
Instead, he is on rest and has promised fans to reveal his plans soon.
