Chain Link Fencing Assembling?

We bought a roll of chain link fencing to put in our back yard. Once we measure and decide where to put it, what else will be need? Posts, gate, etc. How far apart do you put the posts?

Go back to the place you bought the fence from and ask the same questions.  Pole placement varies based on the type/height of fence and your ability/means to stretch it.  For residential standard, plan on 8ft spacing.  You'll need special hooks to attach to the poles also, which can be accomplished with a specialty tool or a pair of linemans pliers.

    Depending on how good you want it to look, you can also run a galvanized horizonal pipe along the top of the fence, which also requires special post caps - but makes it look really good.

    The gate you will have to purchase as an assemblied piece - depending on the brand it may or may not come with hinges.

    Also plan on using plenty of concrete to secure your posts, especially on each side of your gate.
