  1. Check the fuel lines for cracks.  Holes in the fuel lines will mess up the fuel air mixture needed for combustion.  Another thing to look at is the spark arrester screen on the muffler. A blocked screen will not allow the exhaust gases to escape causing a back up into the cylinder.  This will not allow fresh gas to enter the cylinder.  It could be a fuel filter too.

  2. You need to get the carburetor adjusted by somebody that knows what they are doing......

  3. Sounds like a clogged air filter.

If the carb cannot get enough air to properly provide the fuel-air mixture required for a good combustion, it will burn richer and richer until it literally boggs down from having so much fuel and not enough air to combust.

Check this easily by removing the air filter; then clean or replace as needed.

  4. It may be gummed up.  Did you change the sparkplug?  Try a little bit of marvel mystery oil.  Adjust the chain.  Is your mixture right and is it full with oil?

  5. What did you do to get it running?  Did you rebuild the carburetor?  Change the fuel filter?  We need more details in order to give you a hand with this.
