Chairman of Indian selection happy with youth peformance
The chairman of the Indian team's selection committee, Krish Srikkanth has expressed his happiness over the manner of India’s win against Australia in the second ODI. Srikkanth has said that the win proved that the Indian bench-strength was strong and that
the future was bright for the side.

India had chased down 290 to win the second ODI thanks to a century by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gautam-Gambhir-c58623 – and yet, had no
difficulties in chasing down the total.

Talking to the Indian newspaper DNA, Srikkanth said, "It was an important win in the context of the World Cup because it creates confidence in the team. When you win against the No. 1 one-day team in the world chasing a record total, it is all the more satisfying,”

He also said that it was good to see the youngsters coming good in the match and winning matches for the side.

The Indian selectors have rotated things around in the side and the main guys like Tendulkar, Sehwag, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh have not played in all the games given their injury issues. With an all-important World Cup coming up in the next four months,
the selectors have done well to get in the youngsters and create a fight for the places.

Srikkanth said he was in touch with the coach and the other management of the team and had strategized accordingly. He added, "We have held meetings with the captain, coach, team management and the BCCI. We know what they are doing with the board. We have drawn
up a beautiful plan in coordination with all sides concerned. We're on track."
