Champion County to be launched again in Abu Dhabi
County cricket will be launched again next year in the Middle East with the Champion County, where http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nottinghamshire-c826 will be taking on MCC. The venue most probability will be Abu Dhabi and there is a likelihood that it would mark the beginning of the use of
a coloured cricket ball.
The event is expected to be held from the 27th of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Durham-c782 and MCC took place at the same venue, where pink balls were used as MCC tried
to experiment with the possibility of floodlight first class matches.
As yet no substantial decision has been made as to the precise nature of the encounter that is to take place in 2011; however it is likely that a new type of white ball will be experimented along with coloured clothes. The nitty gritty’s are expected to
be discussed in a meeting that will be held in Perth later in the month. Sources within the MCC said that they are looking forward to working with the ECB and the ICC in order to make the most of the opportunity provided to them.
"It is an excellent ground for competitive first-class cricket and, played in good weather, will be ideal preparation for the players ahead of an English season. The fixture also provides a perfect platform for us to use as valuable research and development
for the world game,” John Stephenson the head of cricket said during an interview.
MCC is of the view that they made important developments as far as the pink ball is concerned, however, those who took part in the contest complained about a problem with the seam. MCC has also confirmed that the final of the CB40 will be hosted at Lords
at the culmination of the 2011 season. The final is expected to be played on the 17th of September and it is expected that it will be a daytime encounter rather than the floodlit match since the weather gets cold and it creates problems for the
fans due to a cooler climatic conditions.
