Champion race-horse Fury will be going on with Heron Stakes – Horse Racing Update
It has been reported that the champion race-horse Fury will next be aiming for the upcoming Heron Stakes scheduled to take place on May 26 at the famous Sandown race-course.
The race-horse had a great record of winning the Qipco 2000 Guineas event. Nonetheless, he was unable to claim this event this racing season, as he only managed to finish this race in the fifth spot behind the all time champion Frankel. It is expected that
the trainee of the famed trainer William Haggas will improve his performance in this race.
When the son of the champion race-horse Invincible Spirit, Fury started his racing career as a juvenile, he managed to hold off the race-horse Pisco Sour in the Tattersalls Millions Two-Year-Old Trophy that was held at the Newmarket race-course in October
of the last racing season. The race-horse put in a tremendous effort and managed to claim the victory. The aforementioned race had purse money of five hundred thousand euros. Meanwhile the race-horse Pisco Sour was the third place finisher of the Dante Stakes,
which was the warm-up race of the significant Derby meeting.
Fury put in a decent performance and was the fifth place finisher in the Guineas event. It has been revealed that he finished the race 18 lengths behind the winner. Nonetheless, this did not upset his trainer as he said that the race-horses who were expected
to do better than Fury actually finished behind him in this meeting. This implies that the performance of the contenders was compromised due to the fast ground on the Rowley Mile race-course on the day of the race.
The owner of the Cheveley Park Stud, Chris Richardon was reported as saying, “Fury ran a great race in the 2000 Guineas but his head kept coming up during the race and we felt that he might have the ground a bit lively. We are looking to lower our sights
a little with him and run him a Listed race.”
It will be interesting to see how Fury does in the upcoming races of the season, as the race-horse will be competing with some of the top horses in the circuit.
