Champions Borussia Dortmund to kick off new campaign against Hamburg, Bayern take on Monchengladbach
Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund will kick off their next campaign against Hamburg SV at Signal-Iduna Park, in pursuit to defend the title. It will be a terrific start to the new season as two heavy weights will play for
three points on August 5th 2011. Jurgen Klopp’s side have a big point to prove in the next campaign and perform to the full potential to show that last season’s achievement was not a fluke. All other fixtures will be played the following day.
Germany’s most successful club, Bayern Munich, will face their old rival Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena to kick start their season. The clash will be the first for new Bavarian manager Jupp Heynckes, who guided Bayer
Leverkusen to a second placed finish last term.
Werder Bremen will host FC Kaiserslautern and will look to improve on their disappointing 13th place finish in the season ended. Die Werderaner missed out on Europe and the displays were dismal last season considering
they ended the 2009-10 season in third place.
