Champions League: Arsenal vs. Partizan Beograd - Arsenal stumble past impressive Partizan (Part 4)
At the end of the game, the man of the match award was presented to Alex Song, who was rather brilliant during the game. He was constantly breaking up the Partizan attack and was helping launch countless attacks for the home side. He was also the sole creator
of the third goal for Arsenal and didn’t even think twice before dropping back and filling in for the red carded Sagna during the last ten minutes of the game.
Apart from that Samir Nasri was also a stand-out performer for Arsenal on the night. He had taken up the role of being the only true play maker for Arsenal on the pitch and managed to do brilliantly at dictating the pace of the game and launching countless
attacks for the team. Once Walcott was brought on to replace Arshavin, Nasri took to the left flank and he made it look like he was a seasoned left winger, this just went to show how diverse the players abilities were and just how crucial he could prove to
be to Arsenal’s hunt to landing some silverware at the end of the season.
However the only thought that will be lurking Wenger’s mind, will be that of the fact that Arsenal will now be without Sagna in their next match in the Champions League and from the looks of things that match could just happen to be against the likes of
Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich.
Arsenal will be looking to be with their captain Cesc Fabregas back in the team for that match, along with star centre back, Thomas Vermaelen. With those two players back in action, Arsenal’s hopes of making it through to the quarter finals would be much
higher, then they appear to be at the moment.
Wenger however would have realised that Chamakh and Van Persie just can’t seem to work on the same page at the moment and would be looking to resort to the 4-3-3 formation, which is more like the signature Arsenal.  If Arsenal manage to get things right
and the team’s strikers manage to be on form, then it is safe to say that with the team that Wenger has produced, they can go on to beat just about anyone.
