Champions League Match: Milan - Auxerre First Half Report
It was the glorious stat of the most entertaining night, as every single Milan fan would have to come to witness the best attacking line-up at San Siro. Being drawn in the Group of death every single match home or away are very important for both the team
which are competing tonight. It is Milan versus Auxerre. Other two teams from this group are the Spanish Indomitable giants Real Madrid and the newly crowned Dutch champions Ajax.
There are some high expectations from the Red and Blacks to start their Champions League campaign on a high node just like they started their league campaign. Rosseneri are one of the favourites to win the UEFA Champions League this season after the prolific
signings of Zlatan Ibrahimovich and Robinho.
While on the other hand it is Auxerre first UEFA Champions league match after eight years. They didn’t have a really good start domestically as they drew their four of the five games.
There was as such no doubt in the starting line-up for A.C Milan. The coach Massoma Allegri has decided to play the same team which played against the newly promoted club Casena and lost. Only one change took place and it would not be wrong to call that
a ‘Massive’ change, as Nesta was back in the defence line-up. Alessendro Nesta is the heart of Milan defence and even the heart of the Milan team. Over the years with his impressive performance he has already won the hearts of hundreds and thousands of the
fans. Alessendro Nesta is also considered as a difference maker in Milan with his ability to make crucial game changing passes.
Without Nesta, it is almost impossible for the Italian Giants to keep the clean sheet. Milan surely misses him whenever he is not in action. Without a doubt, the absence of the legendary defender felt when Casena thrashed Milan by 2 goals. Had Nesta played
last weekend, surely that would not be the final score. Usually along with Nesta, there is always young talented defender Silva but he is not playing this UEFA Champions League due to his injury, so Daniel Bonera is playing in place of him.
Zambrotta is given the chance in the Champions League as he is playing as the right back. It is Luca Antonin who is playing as a left back for Milan. Behind this strong defence line-up, veteran goalkeeper Christian Abbiati is wearing gloves for Milan.
Milan’s midfield is gifted with a lot of magician players, who can put their magic in the game any time they want. Ambrosini, the skipper is playing in the midfield along with Clarence Seedorf and Andrea Pirlo.
Now, the most awaited attacking line-up for Milan. Ronaldinho is featuring for Italian Giants as a left striker, helping him in the centre of attack is the incredible Ibrahimovic and on the right side it is the young striking sensation Alexendre Pato. Robinho
is on the bench and will hopefully replace Ronaldinho.
The French side made some changes in their unpredictable squad. Auxerre starting line-up includes Olivier Sorin as their number 1. Helping him in the defence are Cedric Hengbart, Adama Coulilbaly, Stephane Grichting and Jean Pascal Mignot. In the midfield
there is Dennis Cliech who is playing as defensive midfielder. Along with that Delvin Ndinga is performing midfield duties. Benoit Pedretti is playing as an attacking midfielder. There are no shortage of attacker on this side too as they have Steven Langil,
Valler Brisa and Ireneuzz Jelen playing as a strikers.
Ambrosini was injured in the 9th minute. Kevin Boateng Prince, the young new signing replaced the skipper. Neither side was able to find the net as first half went undecided. There was a yellow card for the Auxerre player for his harsh challenge
on Ronaldinho.
