Champions League Match Report: Olympique Marseille 0 vs 1 Arsenal
Arsenal travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 to take on Olympique Marseille in both the teams third game of the group stages in the UEFA Champions League.
Going into the game, almost everyone hailed Marseille as being the better team out of the two and predicted the home side would come out on top with all three points at the end of the game.
On the other hand, Arsenal had just started to build on their form and had bagged a very impressive win over Sunderland this past weekend. Despite the team having gotten off to a very poor start, they seemed to finally be getting themselves back on track.
The match played out in a rather boring manner, with both the teams creating a few chances throughout the game. Despite Marseille proving to be the more threatening side in the game, it was Arsenal who took home all three points from the game.
In the 92nd minute of the game, second half substitute Johan Djourou went on to whip in a very dangerous cross into the Arsenal area. Gervinho tired to control the pass, but his control let the forward down. However, fortunately for the Gunners,

In doing so, the midfielder helped Arsenal pick up all three points and maintain
their winning streak.
In the 14th minute, Arsenal survived a very early scare in the game as a stray ball struck the arm of Carl Jenkinson in the penalty box. The referee seemed to deem the contact as unintentional and went on to avoid awarding the home side a penalty.
